Herniated Disc – Case Study

I often wonder what happens to a disc in the case of a successful herniated disc treatment. Many patients do an MRI before coming to me and finding a herniated disc, but rarely do they follow up with an MRI after feeling better. This case is exceptional. The patient came to me after a CT scan showed a herniated disc. She was scheduled for an MRI to check if surgery was needed. During the wait, she underwent treatments, and her condition improved. You can hear about the treatment and the MRI results in this video.

Herniated Disc

A herniated disc, also known as a or ruptured disc, is a prevalent issue in clinical settings. This condition occurs when the soft inner gel of a spinal disc, known as the nucleus pulposus, protrudes through the tough outer layer, called the annulus fibrosus. As a result, individuals may experience pain, numbness, and potential neurological impairments.
Incorporating Master Tung’s acupuncture techniques into the treatment of herniated discs has shown promise in improving patient outcomes by providing targeted pain relief and enhancing functional abilities.
